Birthday treats
Phew! I’ve been eating a lot for the past few days.
On Friday I met up with the gang for a meal. Went back to Bistro One Zero Three for the meal and the Crabmeat Salmon pasta was fantastic as usual. I realised the lamb rack was nice; had a bite of it.
The service was slow, but I guess it was because it was a full house in there.
Went to Villa Bali for a drink after that.
My shoe. The sole came out. So I performed like some Mentos ad, stepped on the sole and yanked it off. Then walked on like nothing’s happened to get the Paradizer at the entrance. When I walked back to the table, the sole was gone. Ha.
Saturday. I woke up feeling pretty much the same. Went to my mum’s office, and WK and WL came over to make some suits.
I got a customary ang pow from my mum too.
Dinner was at Samba Restaurant at Katong with G, JH & AC. This is some place like the Carnivore at Vivo/Chijmes. It serves buffet, with salads and other Brazilian styled foods. Then the staff comes around with skewers of meats.
I felt the food was so-so. The place was fully packed though, with 2 big tables of people.
Went to watch The Incredible Hulk after that.

It was a good movie. An action-packed movie throughout, with some laughs along the way.
A cure is in reach for the world’s most primal force of fury: THE INCREDIBLE HULK. We find scientist Bruce Banner, living in shadows, scouring the planet for an antidote. But the warmongers who dream of abusing his powers won’t leave him alone, nor will his need to be with the only woman he has ever loved, Betty Ross. Upon returning to civilization, our brilliant doctor is ruthlessly pursued by The Abomination — a nightmarish beast of pure adrenaline and aggression whose powers match The Hulk’s own. A fight of comic-book proportions ensues as Banner must call upon the hero within to rescue New York City from total destruction. One scientist must make an agonizing final choice — accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or the creature he could permanently become: THE INCREDIBLE HULK.
The 4 of us went for some drinks after that and only returned at 4 plus.
Sunday nite. G’s auntie gave me a treat. We went to Old Hong Kong at Katong and it was quite packed, being Fathers’ Day. I was really full after all the food.
Coincidentally, it was Mothers’ Day the last time we were there.
So that wraps up my food treats from Thursday to Sunday.
Thanks to everyone who celebrated my birthday with me.
And all these:
